My name is AJ Jansen and I would just like to say welcome and thank you for checking out my blog. I am beyond excited to see what God has for me in the next year of my life as I aim to serve him in all that I do.
Just a bit about me:
I was born in Richmond, British Columbia Canada and I have lived here for all 20 years of my life. I'm the youngest of 4 but my siblings were often at their parents houses growing up. I grew up in a Christian home and my dad began pastoring about 10 or 11 years ago. I attend a small Calvary Chapel consisting of about 30-40 people. I love my church family.
I walked away from my faith and hardened my heart for a few years until 2011 where I attended Calvary Chapel Bible College which is where I'll be going this fall. The Lord really drew me in and brought me back, I began to see and know the God of the Bible. Since then my passion for Jesus has steadily increased and and has caused me to trust him more than ever.
God is just absolutely wrecking me and causing me to really trust in him and surrender all my fleshly desires at his feet. He is steadily crucifying my flesh day by day. At the end of the gospel of Mark Jesus commands us to go and make disciples of all nations. I believe this is a calling to all those who are in Christ. My heart breaks for the lost and for the hopeless and I cannot wait to offer them the hope that has been so freely given to me.
What I enjoy:
I love to spend time in prayer with Jesus, worship, drumming, reading, biking, hiking, evangelism, tea, and fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ.
I look forward to having you all join me on this mission that God has called me to.
