Well I've been in the hospital for 5 days now and my pneumonia hasn't gotten any better or any worse. I woke up around 4:30 a.m. this morning with a really sharp pain in about 3 different spots on the left side of my chest. I also had a fever of about 100ºF. Not exactly the best way to be woken up, but luckily I took some pain meds and I felt better and was able to fall back asleep!
I was taken for another chest X-ray today and the results showed that I still have about 1/4 of my left lung filled with fluid. Because my chest pains are getting worse and the fever came back it's looking like I might have to have the fluid extracted after all. The chest doctor said he would do it today, but he knows how much I hate needles, so he is going to give me until Monday to get better.
If I do have to have the extraction done it will be on Monday afternoon or evening. Please continue to pray for my recovery and for the pain and fluid in my lungs to go away.
I really do appreciate all the prayers and words of encouragement that you all have given me over the last few days. My spirits have been high and I know its because of your many many prayers. So THANK YOU so much for thinking of me!
