I finally got to eat a fried tarantella… yum!!!!
Quick information update… We are no longer going to Tanzania for safety reasons. We going to be going to Rwanda instead! So, after Kenya we will be traveling to Rwanda then to Uganda. Please be praying for Rwanda and for the awesome things God has planned there!
Think of us as you watch the ball drop New Years Eve… we should just be landing in Kenya about that time!

1. … you get into a bag of snacks and find the food covered with ants… instead of throwing them away you just brush off the ants and proceed to eat.
2. … you no longer think about putting on lotion after a “shower”, just bug spray.
3. … fabreeze is the only perfume you need.
4. … rice is served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
5. … it is easier to wash your clothes while you “shower”.
6. … you base places to eat on air conditioning and price rather than food options.
7. … you open your bible and a baby scorpion runs out.
8. … you can fit 20 to 24 people in a 12 passenger van – plus 6 people size back packs and luggage.
9. … you judge how far you are away from home based on how close the nearest place with internet is.
10. … you play volley ball next to a cow.
11. … cleanliness is not always next on Godliness.
12. … a little boy makes you a flower headband and you feel like the most beautiful princess ever.
13. .. it only takes clean hair and mascara to make you feel like a super model
14. … your bus runs out of gas and while you wait you think nothing of going to pee behind a bush nearby… and when a man riding on top of hay being pulled by a cow sees you and laughs – well, you still think nothing of it…
15. … as you sleep on the floor you are awakened by mice running around.
16. … you realize how important family and holiday traditions really are – and you miss home like you never have before.
