I would like to THANK YOU! I am so grateful for all the encouragement, prayers, love, support, and patience I have been given, in spite of my many oversights. I appreciate your willingness to allow me to stumble – to work through my mistakes. And, I am so thankful for your faithfulness to support me as I learn to find my footing – as I strive to finish this race…
I must admit – this process has proven to be a very humbling, emotional, and kind of scary experience. But, I wouldn’t want it any other way! I wouldn’t change a thing! I want to enjoy this process of growth – working towards relying on Him more and myself less. It is not easy – but, I don’t think anything worthwhile ever is.
So, with that being said… Here is some important information, some need-to-know facts regarding money. After a couple of conversations with The World Race office, I think I am finally starting to understand a little bit more about how all this works… And, I have come to realize that there is some very specific information that I probably should have provided to you back in February! But… Here is some GREAT NEWS! Today I got some clarification (answers) regarding my financial obligations to this mission trip and about the ways you can specifically get involved. I am so sorry for failing to research and understand this process and/or provide you with this information earlier.
THE WORLD RACE TRIP COST – $14,300
ALLOWED REIMBURSABLE AMOUNT IN AIM ACCOUNT – $1,500.00
AIM FINANCIAL DEADLINES – when is the money due?
$150.00 deposit – 2 weeks after acceptance
$7,000.00 – Aug 1, 2010
$8,500.00 – Aug 25, 2010
$11,500.00 – Nov 30, 2010
$14,300.00 – Feb 28, 2011
$15,800.00 – July 30, 2011 (addition of reimbursable allowance, not a requirement for the race)
*PLEASE NOTE – That as long as monthly and quarterly commitments are pledged before the deadline dates they count towards that deadline and the Feb 28, 2011 deadline – even though the money will not actually be in the AIM account at that time. One time donations to AIM would need to be made before Feb 28, 2011 – but keep in mind your donation goes toward reaching a date appointed goal.

*PLEASE NOTE – Any out of pocket expenses over the $1,500.00 may be raised through fund raising, but NOT reimbursed with AIM. Other out of pocket expenses that may be raised, but not eligible for reimbursement through AIM:

MONTHLY OR QUARTERLY DONATIONS… How does this work?
ONLINE PLEDGES:
Visit my blog site – aimeeholladay.theworldrace.org – and select the DONATE! tab on the left hand side of the screen. From there you will be instructed on how to donate using a credit or debit card. You will be given your own log in and all tax deductible information will be available to simply print from your computer. You can make a one time donation here or select to pledge monthly or quarterly donations. If you choose to send support monthly or quarterly your credit or debit card will automatically be deducted the pledged amount at the recurring date. You can choose to commit to monthly or quarterly pledges to be paid for the full duration of the trip – July 2011 – or you can commit to a specific amount of time (example 25.00 for four months). When you have reached your final pledge date you simply long in to the donation site and cancel your deductions on line.
MAILED PLEDGES:
If you mail in your support and you are making a one time donation, then that’s it! Pretty simple… And your tax related information will be mailed to you at a future date. You can also select monthly or quarterly donations on the support slip that is to be mailed with your check back to AIM. You will NOT be mailed or notified or reminded that your pledge date has arrived (monthly, quarterly)… you will need to remember to mail in another check, along with another support slip at the appropriate time. To stop your pledge you simply stop mailing in checks! If you need more support slips to have for your multiple mailed donations, just let me know and I can email you
