I always was that kind of girl that wanted to built treehouses, climb the trees, running in de dirt and loved to find all the awesome creatures that live in the water. I was most of the time ‘one of the guy’s’. I loved to be on an adventure, to live in the fantasie of adventure. There could always happen something when I was outside.
It was an amazing time! This adventures heart of mine were always a part of my life. I always was spontaneous about things. As long as it contained the intention of an adventure I was there. I was the one who could jump up in a second and say in the fall or winter: ‘let’s go to the beach!’ Because I liked it.. It didn’t matter if there was rain, wind or it was really cold. I could so enjoy the spontaneous thought of being on an adventure with my friends.
The first thing that comes up when I think of Adventure is exploring things.
I chose to go on an adventure with God, my father who provides in everything I need.
I will be the one exploring all those things He want’s to give to me!
I always liked the idea of exploring. I’ts like the idea off knowing there is a treasure and i’m going to find out what that treasure holds. And then, the mystery about it. What could it be!? Made me more curious.
Exploring the world is one thing. But to explore the true heart of the Father is the second thing. I’ts not easy to find the true heart of the Father but.. it is all the time and effort worth to explore every inch of it. Everyday there is something He will show me that is new to me and it always amazes me! And if something amazes me I always want to tell everyone about the thing I discover. I like to share the heart of the Father with te one who need Him the most. And also to share the gold (His heart and loving intentions) I’m going to find when I’m exploring. Because the love of the Father is too much to keep it all for myself! It brings more joy to give than to receive! In this journey that contains a lot of adventures, that is coming towards me, I will learn a lot about this big big heart of the Father.
Going on an adventure is not easy. I will have to prepare myself for the moment I leave the Netherlands to go to the first country and meetup with my teammates. I’m so looking forward to meet all of them!
In this preparation I will need a lot of prayers! The preparation is an adventure in itself!
It will be my big trust in the Lord that He will provide in everything I will need to prepare. Not only physical but also mental. I ask you to pray for my adventure with the Holy Spirit as He will teach me a lot in the up coming months about the Father, but also about Jesus who gave His everything for me so I can serve in His kingdom in freedom!
