Well here I am living in Kenya. We got in early in the morning yesterday after a relatively long day. Were seven hours different here so I lost seven hours of my life but I’m ok with that..I think I was the dirtiest I have ever felt when I got here yesterday. I was pretty disgusted with myself after the airplanes and airports and dirtiness that happens with travel-yes probably dirtier than I feel after the Gadsden County dump..

The whole group is here together until tomorrow morning when we all split off and go to our local contacts. All I know is were working in a slum in Nairobi (possibly the largest in the world or maybe just Africa but I think the world.) What that means, I’m not sure..

I was very glad today when the local who was telling us about everything asked us to shower-that they have even had problems with people from the world race not showering because well I like mine and I am not in a place where I’m ok with perpetual dirty. Maybe one day but I was relieved when he said we should shower.

I got a semi mini tour of Nairobi today, we had a friend show us the mutatu (don’t know how to spell it but it’s a mini bus that squeezes too many people in) and took us around showing us cool places. It was good. I think I left my camera sock on the mutatu, so Nairobi you can have my sock. So life across the pond is good.

I like it here. I like the people I’m with. I like the people here. I like it. Hey to everyone at home..
