HOWDY!

So happy that you have made your way to my blog! I have no doubt in my mind that God is going to use this as a vessel for His truth in ways that I couldn't even imagine. All glory goes to Him.

A little bit about myself, I am 22 years old and have recently been called to missions! I was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. I am blessed with my two parents, Scott and Sherrry, and two older brothers, Braden and Conner, who I always tried to keep up with when I was little. We have a new addition to our family as of September 2011 when my oldest brother married Kim (yay for finally having a sister)!

I am graduating in May from the greatest school in the country, Texas A&M University! A-WHOOP! I will finish school with a degree in Industrial Distribution, which I hope to use in the Humanitarian sector after I return from the World Race! In my time at A&M, I was extremely involved in Young Life, which I was a part of in high school as well. I was on a team that serves special needs of all ages called Young Life Capernaum. This ministry has stolen my heart along with countless hours here in College Station. People with special needs are very near and dear to my heart because I grew up with an uncle who was mentally handicapped. I have blogged about his story on my previous blog website, so click here if you want to read more about Tim!

I will have you know that although I might be giving 11 months of my life up to serve the Lord, that my life hasn't been perfect! I have struggled and been through many trials. Thankfully, God has brought me through those dark times and shown me that He is the only way for me to be satisfied. I find it incredible that He has chosen to use me to share His promises with the nations. He doesn't need me, but He has picked me, a broken and sinful person, to share the love of Christ!

Some things that I love:
-People. I get my energy from being around friends and loved ones. I also love talking to strangers!
-Decorating. "I get it from my momma." Ask any of my roommates, and they will explain to you how I decorate for every holiday. I would rather get a new painting than a new pair of shoes.
-Movies. Shawshank, the LoTR trilogy, Inception, Se7en, any Alfred Hitchcock and Shirley Temple movie, It's A Wonderful Life, Lion King, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, A Walk to Remember, Band of Brothers, and The Fox & the Hound… to name a few.
-Food a little too much. My biggest weakness? Pita chips.
-Texas A&M. I could describe all of the traditions and values of this university, but "From the outside looking in you can't understand it. From the inside looking out you can't explain it." No other place like it!
-Traveling. Which works out nicely!
