Hey everyone, there has been A LOT of things going on with my preparation for my mission trip these past few weeks! I’m getting so excited and my launch date is just around the corner on July 1st but for the sake of your time I will stick to 3 BIG updates!!!
1st update: With all of your help my first financial deadline has been meet CRUSHED!!! I was suppose to have $3500 in my account as of May 1st. As of today, April 26th, I have $3,971.33 in my account! I cant thank you all enough for your prayers and financial support.
2nd update: I have officially purchased my insurance for my trip (You can take a deep breathe Mom) The world race requires me to carry a $500,000 insurance policy when I leave the country. The policy includes medevac back to the states (Lets hope I don’t need this one!) and it only has a $500 deductible. I also opted for the additional Sports package from the insurance company so I will be able to play soccer and other sports with kids without the fear of injury.
3rd update: I have purchased 90% of the gear I need for my trip. A local youth group in town decided they would be awesome donate the rest of my gear for me! So this past week I went on to REI.com and Amazon and ordered a bunch of stuff. The only things I have left to get are clothes, a multi-tool and a few other miscellaneous items. This was a huge blessing because I would have had to purchase this stuff out of pocket.
3 ½ update: Ok just one more quick thing. 23 days from today I will drive to west of Atlanta for 8 days of training camp and I NEED your prays! This is defiantly going to be a stretching experience for me; Ill be staying in my tent and sleeping bag the whole week, just like I will while on the field. Ill also be eating weird food and meeting some awesome new people!
My first deadline has come and gone but I still have a long way to go and I’m not gong to be able to do it with out you!
