Well, it all starts today! As I write this entry to you, I am currently sitting next to my squad mate, Kendra Harris, in our plane ride from LAX to Atlanta, Georgia for Launch. I’m relaxed and at peace about taking off for this mission/service trip spanning across 11 countries in 11 months. I thought I would be having bipolar mood swings approaching the BIG DAY! Except…no. I am quietly excited about all that awaits at Launch and what lies ahead after. Launch is a few days of further training and orientation. I am heading into a time of workshops, safety, logistical training and other ministry preparations for the communities, organizations, churches, and affiliated ministries my squad will be partnering with. Adventures in Missions has already made contact with our first destination, which is Guatemala. The details of our specific location will be known to me sometime this week. Thereafter, I will know firsthand the other locations in the other countries. One note: For the safety and confidentiality of the people we work with, I will not disclose specific locations until approval is permitted. Okay, I got to go. I will be posting another short update upon my arrival in Guatemala. Love all of you.
Also, the countries I am going to are Guatemala, Nicaragua, Botswana, Swaiziland, Phillippines, Nepal, Burma, Vietnam, Thailand, and two countries in Eastern Europe I’m unaware of at the moment.
