So, fundraising. Where do I start?
Thank you all for supporting me on this amazing journey, not just financially but also prayerfully! It means so much to me to have people that are willing to back me up and trust in me that I’m doing the Lord’s work and furthering His kingdom. It’s month 5 currently and I can honestly say that this trip is the best time of my life. I have learned so much about God, myself, and my identity in Christ in this half-year than at any other point in my life.
I would love to be able to continue on this journey and finish out the 11 months, but there is definitely some more funding that needs to happen before that can happen. I am currently at $10,489 in my World Race account. By December 1st of 2012 my account was supposed to be at $11,000, but Adventures in Missions has shown so much grace in this area. They are allowing me to stay on field for sure until the end of month 6th (end of February) which is when the final deadline of $15,500 needs to be met. If I don’t meet this deadline I will not be able to continue on this amazing journey.
With that being said, the only place I want to be is within God’s will. So I’m content with whatever happens. Obviously, I would love to finish out the entire 11 months, but ultimately I need to surrender my life to God at all times. So if He wants me here then the money will come in and I’ll stay, but if He wants me to come home, then the money will not come in. I am content with whatever happens.
God’s will doesn’t depend on where I am. I am within God’s will no matter where I am for as 1 Thessalonians 4:3 states, “For this is the will of God: your sanctification…”
I created a fundraising event on Facebook for my birthday in order to try and bring in some more funds.

If you feel led to donate to my trip then please do. If not, then don’t worry about it. It’s all in His hands.
God Bless!
P.S. Another dilemna to throw in the loop is that I've recently found out that my grandma's cancer is worse than previously thought. She's been told she only has 2 months to live. I would like to see her before she passes away, but I'm trying to figure out what's best. I don't want to go home for a week to see her and then come back and end up not meeting the last deadline at the end of February, and thus be sent home. If you guys could be praying for this I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks and again, God Bless!
