In recognition of the World Race–my 11 month mission trip to 11 countries–this 11th of May(it is also 11 weeks until I will be at Training Camp), I am asking for your support of $11 and for you to share this event with 11 of your friends who you think might be interested in supporting me! (See a pattern?)
The World Race requires each “racer” to raise funds that cover ALL expenses like travel, food, lodging, and insurance for the 11 months. $16,254 is a really scary number. Vaccinations are scary (I hate shots), speaking to large audiences is scary, sleeping on a thin sleeping pad for a year is scary. Getting sick, experiencing team conflict, language barriers, foreign foods, and long travel days are all scary. But you know what? $16,254 is a doable number. Vaccinations will be over in the blink of an eye, speaking to large audiences can create awesome new relationships, sleeping on a thin sleeping pad for a year can be a teaching experience. Getting sick can make for a good story, team conflict can ultimately make teams stronger, language barriers can force us into genuine nonverbal understanding, foreign foods can lead to new favorites, and long travel days can make some of the best bonding experiences. It is all in how you look at it.

FAQ:
What is the World Race?
The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 countries to serve “the least of these” while amongst real and raw community. This is a year filled with discipleship, teamwork, simplicity and service as we work alongside local ministry partners to preach the Gospel, plant churches, love orphans, assist in manual labor, teach English, feed the hungry, and bring the Father’s hope and restoration to the nations. For more info, please go to: The World Race
What does my money go towards?
Your donation allows you to partner with me in ministry around the globe by mobilizing me to go, to give, to pray, and to heal. The money you give covers expenses directly related to the following: meals, lodging, air, land, and sea travel, administrative costs, set-up costs, coaching costs, debriefing costs, training camp costs, and insurance.
How else can I help?
1. Spread the word!
Since I’m obviously going for a theme with the number 11, share this event with 11 of your friends! (Of course there is no penalty for going above and beyond 11)
2. Give!
$11 is the PERFECT amount to give! However, I need to raise $16,252 by March 1, 2015. Would you consider giving $11 per month (or more if that is feasible for you) until I am fully funded? To check up on my fundraising status, there is a status bar at the top of this page that tracks all the funds I have received. (Please note that online donations take 2-5 days to process and checks can take up to 2 weeks).
How can I give?
1. Credit and Debit Card Donors
– PROS:
Quick and efficient.
Most preferred method.
Able to setup automatic monthly withdrawals.
Easy online access.
-CONS:
A 3% fee is added to online dominations which goes to the credit card company to pay for that convenience.
2. Written Check Donors
– PROS: No fee deducted.
– CONS: Can take approximately 2 weeks from the date you mail the check to process.
3.* DynaPay Donors
– PROS: Automatic deduction from a checking account each month with no fees. To sign up for DynaPay, your donors can go to www.adventures.org/dynapay or they can print off this form and mail it in with a voided check to: Adventures in Missions ATTN: Donor Relations 6000 Wellspring Trail Gainesville, GA 30506
– CONS: The donor MUST create an end date for their donations. If they do not DynaPay will not automatically end the donations and DynaPay will continue to deduct each month unless the donor calls to have it cancelled.” Also, the donor can only choose donation increments of 6 months, 12 months, or 2+ years. * DynaPay is for monthly donations ONLY. If you or a donor tries to submit a one time donation on DynaPay we WILL NOT process it, and a check will have to be sent in.
Pray!
I so desperately need prayer in this time of preparation and also once I leave in September.
Thank you all for your support! The World Race would not be possible for me without it.
