- Ministry of the month:
As you can tell by my previous blog, ministry this month was interesting. We really didn't do that much. We chopped and moved wood, planted about 30 fruit trees to start a orchard and planted flowers. It rained or snowed most of the month so on those days we were off. We were working at Christian summer camp helping them get things ready for the summer.
- Favorite Memory:
It was really awesome being able to go on a weekend trip to explore Europe. I LOVED being in Slovakia as that was a huge bucket list item for me.
- Biggest Challenge:
Not having ministry to do many days and all the stuff God brought me through. Also losing teammates throughout the month.
- Food:
Our contacts cooked for us which was nice, but I would have loved to cook to, as every time I did dishes I had to stare at a kitchenaid mixer! We ate lots of bread, soups, and stews.
- Random WR Moment:
We were in a really small town so as we walked into town we would pass chickens, geese, ducks, and herds of sheep. There was also the infamous shepherd who walked around with his sheep wearing a cloak made of sheep wool.
- Funniest Moment:
The Mindy Project. Best TV show we were introduced to, and proceeded to watch episodes over and over.
- What I’ll miss:
I really enjoyed the quietness of everything. Oh, and the fires that Alex would build and I then I would just sit by all day reading a book. Room 310 was pretty great too.
- Spiritual Lesson/Revelation:
I could go on and on here, but I'll keep it short. God really brought me closer to Him and forced me to go deeper on issues so that I now clearly know where I stand. But the awesome way is that He did it in such a way that I was had the time and was in the environment I needed to so I could process those things.
- Prayer Requests:
Pray for the camp we were at, that they will have an awesome summer and the kids will experience the love of Christ.
