In Hong Kong we had something many racers never want to think about, team changes. I was pretty suer my leader Jamie would become one of our new squad leaders (which she is) so I was prepared for the inevitable, that our team would change. And to be honest I was excited about it. I loved the girls on my team and had so many good moments but for whatever reason we didn't really work well as a team. It was really hard for me to open up to them and I always felt like I had to try so hard. It wasn't natural like I wanted it to be or it should be.

So, it happened, teams were changed and I was immediately excited about my new team. First of all, we had guys, something that I really missed while on my first team. I didn't really knew many of new teammates well but was excited to get to know them. Our first month together was amazing and we are already really close. I am beyond blessed by all of them and am really thankful that God choose to put us together for the rest of the race.

So, without further ado here is my new team.

Top : Isaac, Alex  Bottom: Erin, Angela, me, Liz, Imelda

Angela (our team leader)

Angela is super awesome. She makes people feel so comfortable and loved and really cared for. She loves the Lord and leads from His strength and not her own. No matter what I know she always has my back. She also loves to joke and have a fun.

Erin

Erin loves people. She has so much joy and shares this freely with other. She is such a servant and even though she has been called to step back in this season it is still so evident in everything she does. Her reverence for God is inspiring.

Liz

Liz and I drove to training camp together and I really enjoyed spending that time with each other. She has grown so much during the race. She has a love for the Holy Spirit and isn't afraid to dive in head first ready to experience all God has for her. She loves deeply and completely.

Imelda

Imelda is the lone person I started the race with on the team. She is a huge blessing and encouragement. I was excited to still have her on my team because I know no matter what she has my back and will defend me no matter what. The way she walks with the Lord depending on Him for everything is awesome.

Isaac

Like I said I was super excited to have guys on my team. Isaac is a deep thinker who brings awesome incite to our conversations. He has a hunger to grow and really takes the things others say to heart. He also really makes me feel included in little ways. Plus, he was a great secret santa 🙂

Alex

Alex honestly reminds me a lot of my little brother, which is a great thing to have around. He is going to be a great spiritual leader or his family. He helps bring our team back to prayer and never backs down from praying for us. Plus, he is just super fun to be around, have conversations with, and joke around with.

I know it's really blurry and would never normally post a picture like this, but it is our only first team photo, so there is sentimental value in it.

Our team name is Holy F.I.R.E. We discussed a lot of things before deciding on this and really feel like it captures what we want for our team. The F.I.R.E stands for fierce intimacy rooted in eternity. This is our prayer for our team, and I ask that you join us in it. That we will bring Gods Holy Fire wherever we go, we will be fierce in our love for God, intimate with God and each other, and never forget that we are rooted in eternity.
