Prayers for Swaziland
A huge part of our month at El Shaddai is intercessory prayer for Swaziland, the people, the ministry, and for healing. Our squad is eagerly expecting great things from the Lord for this place and we firmly believe that God has greater things in store here. Please join us in prayer for Swaziland.
Pray that God would send laborers here to Swaziland. “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few where the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord for the harvest, therefore to send out workers into His harvest field.” Luke 10:2. Swaziland is a country desperately in need of the Gospel and redemption from the sin that holds its people captive. We pray that God would give specific visions in the hearts of people He is leading to serve here.
Pray that God would break the bondage of addictions here in this land. Surrounding the entire compound that El Shaddai is located on are marijuana fields in every direction. It is our prayer that God would break the bonds of the addiction of this substance and turn people towards Christ for healing. We pray that through these broken chains, marijuana as a product would become unprofitable for the farmers and they would begin farming crops that would end hunger in this area.
Pray that people would turn their eyes away from witchcraft and towards God for healing. Witchcraft is practiced heavily here on the mountain, where evil is welcomed in and worshiped among the homes of the lost people. Witchdoctors are encouraging demon possession and satanic rituals that cloud the minds of people who are sick and in need of the ultimate Healer. We pray that the healing powers of Jesus Christ would be so evident in this land that the witchdoctor would not be sought after for healing and that those healed would testify to Christ’s power.
Pray that God would destroy the cultural norms of sexual perversion of children. Pray that God would redefine the statistics that express the rape, incest, and abuse that occurs in this land. We pray that God would heal the hearts and the minds of the children who have lived through and are recovering from the pain of these acts. We pray over the children that God would restore their innocence and give them a fresh outlook and trust for people, despite their past.
Pray that God would bless and provide strength for the missionaries at El Shaddai. The government here is imposing on the ministry that happens at El Shaddai and are currently trying to take ownership of the school that has been built on the property. We pray for strength and endurance for the missionaries to stand up for what is right and to be bold even in adversary.
Pray that God would provide specific people to complete the projects that have been placed on the hearts of the missionaries here. At El Shaddai, there are three missionaries who are running a ministry that should require about ten. They have visions of how to improve this place and ways that they can grow and reach more but simply do not have the man power to complete all the projects. The two projects that are being prayed for this year are:
The creation of a self-sustainable farm. It is a dream here at El Shaddai to have a self-sustainable farm in which they can raise animals and crops that will feed the children and bring in funds to support the ministry. God has blessed El Shaddai with an abundance of farm land and animals. They are in need of assistance in learning how to raise animals that are healthy to eat and building shelter. They also need help learning how to harvest the land they have been given as well as man power to do it.
A trade school on El Shaddai property. There are two empty concrete buildings that are located on El Shaddai’s property that were built in hopes of starting a trade school to teach men useful skills that can turn into jobs. The vision of this trade school is to not only provide jobs but to act as a discipleship program as well, where a man of God could pour into the men and teach them about Jesus. Please pray for this man to come to El Shaddai.
Thank you for joining me and our World Race B Squad team in Praying for Swaziland.
