A Little Piece Of…
…America:
Our last day here in Mukono, Uganda and well we got a little piece of America. You see, our contacts went to a Bible school run by an American missionary, who they call Mama Smith. She just got back from Uganda last week and so we went to visit her house. It was beautiful!!
Here, she and Dale, her friend, made us a home-cooked meal of burgers, mashed potatoes, green beans, AND….SWEET TEA!! I don't even really drink tea, but I did today and it was amazing!! I think we all ate ourselves into food comas.
We were also allowed to take showers at her home. By showers, I mean real, authentic, running water showers with hot water (for a little bit anyway) and nice, soft towels to dry off with afterwards! May I just say…wow!! Amazing!! Haha!! Yes, just a little bit of America for our last day before meeting up with the squad for fun by the Nile and a long trip to the capital of Tanzania.
…Heaven:
Also, Mama Smith ministered to us and we got poured into even more (didn't know that was possible). Anyways, she asked about us, where we were from, and where God is calling us. Long story short, after telling her that I am called to all the nations, especially London soon (funny thing, we walked in and she had Hillsong London playing on the t.v.), she shared with me about how Jeremiah was called to all the nations, that I should study that book, and that there is a power deep within me that once it is released will be very powerful and my words for nations will be powerful because of it!
She prayed over us and she is a powerful woman of God. The presence of God was thick in the room and not just because of the soft couches and nice tile floors…God filled that place and I am pretty sure spoke to all of us in attendance! We got a little piece of Heaven on top of our little piece of America and home. It was a powerful, beautiful, heart-wrenching moment!!
This month has been a month of Team The Cavalry being poured into by God's servants, who take the term servant to heart and definitely gave all of themselves to make sure we had whatever we needed. We have all been overwhelmed and humbled by the level of hospitality we have encountered by our contacts and I will forever remember their service to us.
By far, the hardest month to say goodbye…I am saddened to have to say see you later…I say see you later, because goodbye is too heartbreaking, plus I will see them all later! 😀
God Bless and thank you for reading my blogs! Please leave a comment, thanks!
*Mama Smith: Thank you soooo, soooo much for your words and your hospitality!! May you be richly blessed because of it!! Love ya!!
