The Ugandan Life
So, after a 16 hour ride, including an hour and a half at the border to Uganda, my team and I made it to our ministry location a little outside the city of Mukono. We have been blessed with living on a compound of an ambassador, who has graciously opened his home up to us and has told us to make ourselves comfortable while we are here. It is an amazing location to live with some pretty awesome accomadations.
Our contact, Pastor Edward, has a church, Emmanuel Christian Center, that we are partnering with to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to this place and area of Uganda! Pastor and our brother Michael have taken pain-staking steps to ensure that we feel at home here and enjoy every moment of our time.
We will be going to hospitals, schools, churches, homes and many other places to preach the Word of God to those we come across. In the few days we have been here we have seen six individuals come to faith in Christ (four at a hospital, one at a school…these five on our first day of ministry…and one today at a funeral, which I will elaborate more on in the next blog).
Holy Spirit is alive and well here in Uganda and life could never be better. We have a freshness and renewed spirit over these last three months of the Race, stemming from debrief and the work of God in us overall. I feel very alive here and cannot wait for more!!
On top of all of this, the food here has been nothing short of amazing and those we met in Kenya who said the food in Uganda was the best in East Africa were not lying to us. So far, the food here is insanely delicious, which is crazy because I thought the food in Kenya was really, really good. Either way, life here is good and I am excited to see the move of God in and through us, upon the lives of those we come in contact with.
I love you dearly and please be in prayer for my team and squad as we go into this last stretch of our Race. Much is to be done before it is time to go home. Also, if anyone would do me a favor and send me some information on schools or ministries in London, then please e-mail that information to me at [email protected]. God Bless and many blessings upon you!!!
Sorry I couldn't get pics up…
