New Team Name
After many hours of deliberation and many ideas of what our team name should be, we have finally come to a decision…
On the block:
- something to do with a pillar of fire and a pillar of cloud
- banah en Theos (built in God)
- SonShine or Shine
- MoonShine (moon in Scripture symbolically means of stability and endurance)
- D'oH (Dancers of Hallelujah)
- Consuming Fire
- Debangg (means fearless in Hindi)
- Pure Power in a different language
- Enoch
However, none of these names seemed fitting and we were hardpressed to think of a good name by the supposed deadline. We strongly desired to have a team name that firmly rested upon the Lord and spoke of how we wanted to shine in the darkness. So we came up with one that incorporated both of these…Dex, Ashley, Lindsay, Emily, Annalisa and I are now Team:
ROCKSTAR!!!
The Rock signifies our firm foundation in Christ and the eternal aspects of stability and strength for a rock firm in its place cannot be moved easily by human standards. As well as the fact that the rock signifies God's protection and security.
The Star represents something unique that I will try to portray through Dex's thoughts that I will paraphrase…here on earth we look up to the stars and see how beautiful and majestic they are from such a great distance, but that is not what they really are for there is more to them than what we see. In light of this, when people see our team they will see our outward appearances, but they will know that there is something more to us than just our outward appearance and wonder what do they have that we don't. Basically, they will sense the presence of the Lord with us in such a way that they will want to know more and so we will be able to better lead them to our King.
After Dex was talking about this the quote from Transformers came to my mind where Optimus Prime says, "There is more to us than meets the eye."
So, we are now Team RockStar!
