Journey to the Top: Part 1

(written on November 13th)

Ever since China in 2007, I have been mesmerized and intrigued by
mountains, which coming from a  Florida boy shouldn’t surprise anyone.
Couple this with the realization that all throughout Scripture God has
called many of His children to experience Him on a mountaintop.

It was only a matter of time that I would get my call.

Ten days ago (from the 13th of November) was that time. The Lord
laid it on my heart to fast for ten days and on the tenth day go on top
of the mountain with Him. I obeyed. I do not write any of this to boast
about myself or anything, so please know that I give all glory to God
about this circumstance.

Throughout these past ten days, God has been calling out things that
have been dwelling within me and keeping me from fully diving into Him.
Some of these things have been given the names of petrified,
insecurity, condemnation, and others.

Now, today, was the day. I borrowed Dustin’s small Bible, so I
didn’t have to trek with my monstrous Study Bible up a mountain and
Shaun’s i-Pod to listen to a podcast titled, ‘Heart, Purity, and
Spiritual Sensitivity. I got my day-pack filled and journeyed up the pass
into the mountains. I let Him have control and only went where He spoke
to go into my Spirit.

I had no idea where I was going, but He led me perfectly. I went
through the barbed wire gate and into the wilderness, then came to
another barbed wire fence and had to jump that. I then, reached a valley
and marveled at His creation…wait for the rest of the journey.
