Ok, soo totally WOW!!! I had the notion I’d be writing about this Daniel fast at some point, but God has other things in mind, lol.
Anyway, back before training camp, or well July 23rd – the day before training camp, I got driven up to St. Augustine to meet Mac Mitchell (Dang Gina the cat is wicked cool!!) and well after we spent some time in Gander Mountain in the Prime Outlets we drove to his place of residence and then went off to the bowling alley in Jacksonville, FL called Batts Bowl! We met up with his friends from church and had a swingin’ great time bowling.
We paid for two games and well I haven’t bowled a lot in the past few years and even when I did, I think my highest was like in the 80’s, so I’m not that great. During the first game I’m getting into it and somehow picked the ball appropriate for me. It honestly felt like it was an extension to my arm…pretty crazy that one! Game one goes through and I started noticing that the five pin kept staying up, as in 5 or 6 frames the 5 pin stayed standing, while the other pins got demolished. My mind and heart started feeling a tug of ‘there’s something more to this’, but what I had no idea. I score a 108 (a shocker to say the least).
Game two comes along and Mac’s all fired up saying he’s going to take me down this game, that he was just warming up. At this point, I have already gotten a little used to being around a bunch of new people I don’t know and notice the outgoing-ness of Mac (rock solid brother indeed and S-Squad you ain’t seen nothin’ yet ’til he is in a bowling alley dancing away to whatever music is playing lol). Anyway, the 5 pin didn’t make as much noise this round.
Then, comes game three, now remember, we only payed for two games, but got convinced to play one more (we paid or well Mac, thanks again, paid for both of our extra game afterwards). So, I line up for the first frame and…KAPOW!! Strike one. All pins down.
Frame 3, strike 2…frame 4, strike 3….frame 5, gutter ball then a spare (weird I know lol)…frame 8, strike 4 and frame 9, strike 5…yes ladies and gentleman I got 5 strikes in one game and a total score of 155!!! I honestly think that that is the highest score I have gotten on Wii bowling, but in a real bowling game NEVER!! (Mac got the game scores printed out, so I have proof!)
Perplexed and still thinking on the 5 pin from game 1, I text a couple of friends and get their input. Nikki, immediately texts back saying that the 5 pin in game 1 represented the enemy constantly before me and hindering me in my walk with God; whereas the 5 strikes in game 3 represented the power of God that dwells within me and which broke through the enemy obliterating all obstacles!!
Say what??!!!
Wow…talk about a God who shows up in the random moments of life, as in a bowling game with new friends. He has recently reminded me of this and has been sending me the word ‘Believe’ all the time. At first, He showed the word to me on our ‘Ask the Lord’-ATL day of training camp along with an image of my dragon (I have a story about this and will have a tattoo of him at some point too). Anyway, as I’m writing this and thinking more on it, the power of God that rests within my being, my soul, my heart…is in essence as powerful as a mighty dragon and then some to say the least.
Now, go back to the video link at the top of this blog and listen to the words…the chorus has a line that says, ‘…this very same power that raised Christ from the dead is alive in me!’ How wicked sweet is that??!! Think of the possibilities to have such power living inside of you!! It’s almost like a superhero tale where you have to think of all the responsibilities you will end up having with such great power; however, this is no superhero tale, it’s real life where the God of ALL creation gives His power freely to those who follow Him with everything they have!
Either way, I cannot WAIT to see what God will do in and through me this next year!! I know that I am no longer to be passive and tentative about anything, but bold and courageous, indeed a Lionheart!!
….stay tuned to hear about the Daniel fast or when our launch date is…I really don’t know what He’s going to have me blog about next, but I’m excited for when He gives me the words…so amazing!! Much love!
