Hi Guys! My name is Liza Flora and I am so excited to be sharing my journey to the Philippines with you! I am so thrilled that you are coming along side me through prayer and financial support and want to tell you a little more about myself as I prepare for this incredible adventure that awaits.
I would describe myself as a welcoming and kindhearted individual with an upbeat personality. I’m an organized leader always ready to rise to any challenge that is set before me. I am a very hard worker and put in 100% effort all the time. I truly feel like God has placed a compassionate heart within me as I am always looking to reach out and include others. Above all this I believe that at my core my identity is a daughter of Jesus. My relationship and faith with God have been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. Understanding God’s unconditional love has been a crucial part in growing and developing my relationship with Him and others today. As I continue to be a leader in my community my goal is to share this unconditional love with others, as I feel God calls us to do so!
My family and I are from Denver, Colorado and I am a freshman at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. I am currently studying Special Education and Elementary Education. Being in Arizona this past year at school has allowed me to discover some of my passions. God has opened doors for me to spend time serving and building community in His name. I serve as a leader in a local outreach at my college that focuses on building connections and sharing the love of Jesus with kids and adults with special needs. Being a light for Jesus in this ministry has taught me that there is a God that loves all people unconditionally and this makes my heart long to share His name in any way I can. This has become a huge part of who I am this past year!
Along with this I am also pretty artistic person because I love to craft and sing. I love to be outside to hike or just soak in the sun! Anything that involves going out on an adventure excites me because I believe those truly makes the best memories.
I am beyond blessed and excited to share little apart of who I am and hope that you can walk alongside me in my journey through pray in preparation for this trip.
