Friends and loved ones!!

I hope you find joy in reading this blog post! The purpose of this blog is to share that in December 2015, I graduated from the Western Washington University with a  degree in Recreation therapy! While this is huge in furthering my professional  career, I acknowledge that I want to hold off from a fulltime job and focus on what is really important in my life, which is loving God, and loving people. I have many unforgettable memories  from college. During my time there, I made lifelong friends, some of which are  probably the most inspiring I’ve met. While I am sad and relieved at the same time  that college is over, I want to invest in my passion to help people around the world.

One of my favorite things in college was being involved in a ministry called “The 242”. Through this ministry I became more aware of how the gospel rings true in everyday life.  I learned that it’s not just something to know but rather a significant event to live from. I  believe that Christ alone brings my value and importance in life. I am really excited to  tell you that God has exposed to me the possibility of “The World Race” soon  after graduating and he has called me to now “Go.” God, willing I leave 2017 in  January for “The World Race.”

The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries. During  that time  I’ll be doing projects, such as building houses, repainting old orphanages, and serving  anyway I can. We will  teach in schools, build houses for single Mom’s, and care for  victims involved in human sex trafficking.  God has used my experiences in college to open my eyes to the brokenness all around,  to amaze me with the beauty of His grace, and to give me a passion to share the true  restoration and joy I find in Jesus with people around the world. This is where God has called me to invest my time and my heart this upcoming year.

One particular focus and heartbeat of this ministry is to heal the sick, where people from all over the United States come together, and go out and serve  people in need all over the world. This is where I want to spend my 2017, hence my  asking of you to support me in such.  This will be a challenging year, but one of much personal growth and learning. It won’t  be easy abandoning my friends and family. This is something that I am passionate about  though, and yearn to experience who Jesus is in a completely new way. I cannot do this trip alone. I am in need of both financial and  spiritual support. Financially, I am going to need to raise over $17,000 to cover the cost  of food, lodging, travel, and insurance. Spiritually, I need people praying over my  faith, and relationship with Jesus, in trust, provision, and in safety.

It would  mean so much to me if you prayed over this alongside me, especially financially and emotionally. Equally important to me is your faith, regardless of where you are with your life, I  would like to take this time to extend this invitation for Jesus to come into your  life. I am continually learning to give my life to Jesus, and how to stretch my faith. I conclude by asking, will you join me in this 11 month journey by giving financially?  On my blog you will also find a “Support Me!” tab on the left side, where you can make  an online donation, either one time or monthly. Another option is to mail a check payable to Adventures in Missions and with my name in the memo line as well as the  enclosed response card to:
