For those of you who did not know, I just recently got back from World Race Training Camp. This looked like 10 days of getting to know my squad, learning how to handle things while on the field, showering out of buckets, eating meals with my hands, sweating amounts that I did not know possible, growing closer to God, and so much more.

Adventures in Missions, the organization in which The World Race is ran through, is located in Gainesville, Georgia. After a long drive there, I arrived eager to meet my squad, my team, and really get a look into what life is going to look like for the next 10 months.

My squad is a group of around 50 people who will all be traveling to the same countries as me. Within the squad, we are all put into teams of around 6 to 8 people who we will be doing ministry with and living with when we arrive in each country.

My team is made up of 5 other girls whom I already love sooooo very much! Christy McPherson!! Lissie Butler!! Katie Holliday!! Caitlyn Morrison!! && Makennah Holifield!! Each of these amazing girls are special in their own way and I could not be more excited to live with and do ministry with them. They are inspiring, loving, hilarious, + such Godly young women!!

The past ten days spent at training camp have been some of the hardest, but most rewarding days of my life. I was pushed deeper into my faith than I have ever been in my whole life, and because of that, my perspective on the Lord is SOOO much different (in a good way of course!!). I was pushed to do hard things while gone. Every minute and hour was devoted to focusing on Christ & because of this, I am closer to Him than I have ever been.

Training camp changed me. It made me realize that the World Race is coming. Soon. Thank you Jesus for giving me this community within my squad, and calling me to this amazing mission. I could not be more ready to take on this next season of my life.

Six weeks left until I’m peacin’ out. God is good. Forever, He is King.

Here are some sweet pics of my amazing 10 days spent sweatin’ in Georgia!!!
