Hey everybody I made it to Peru and it’s been wonderful. We’re in the middle of training camp and I’ve learned and grown so much already. But instead of writing and telling you all of the things I’ve experienced so far, I want to share what God put on my heart this morning at the local coffee shop. It’s written to my squad, but could easily apply to each and everyone of you.
God is truly amazing and I’m so grateful for this opportunity to know and serve alongside my squad. I love them so much already, but do they know that? Can they see it? Better yet can they see how much you love them and care for them God? How much you appreciate all the little details that are unique to each one of them. How perfectly you created them in your image. Will they love the way you talk to each one of them in your own special way? Do they know you have so much planned for them? Things they could never have imagined. Things they might’ve only dreamed about. Can they see themselves the way you see them? Or the way that I see you in each of them? I wish I could put it into words. I wish I could tell my squad that I see your love in each one of them, in a way so unique, that only you could design it. Their laughs, and the joy they have when we’re all extremely worn out. Their compassion, and the way they care for everyone around them even if they’re struggling themselves. Even their sorrow when they miss friends and family back home. Can they see how amazing they are? How amazing you are in each of them?
To each of my squad mates, I hope you see how much God loves you. I hope you see how He created you each so uniquely. I hope you come to appreciate all the little ways in which he talks to you and moves through you. But most importantly I hope you see yourself the way God sees you.
