It’s the end of summer…

And everything is new.

I would love to catch you up on a little glimpse of my summer here in Georgia at Adventures in Missions.

(Gap F in Kansas)

To say the summer has been full, would be an understatement. It has been sweet in all of it’s ways, and full of quite a long list of unexpected things. Gap F finished out their time on the field in May, and transitioned into being stateside. Reunions are always welcomed after squads finish their time on the field, but Gap F had an unexpected reunion over the death of one of our sweet squadmates.

I’m so happy to say Gap F is still BEING the church. In death & life, they pour out unconditional love and support to one another and pursue Jesus relentlessly.

Getting ready for a new season of racers, helping with training camp and everything in between, I’ve become exceedingly thankful for this community of people I’ve been able to surround myself with for the past 2 years.

Mentoring has equally been the most incredible privilege and my largest sacrifice. I continue to learn more about myself, my strengths as a woman of God, and my weaknesses as a leader through journeying year after year with young believers.

The past few weeks have held the most unexpected events for our house. One of my roommates spent a few days in the ICU, she is recovering well and healthy, but it gave us a good scare and we spent the hurricane lock down in the hospital. When we returned home a few days after Irma had graced Georgia with her presence, we found a tree, perfectly placed on top of our house. No major damage, which was a miracle, but it literally shook the foundation and has created anything but a normal routine without power or hot water and a constant shifting of branches around every window. A lot of big life decisions, family and friend news and everything in between have been a part of our normal lately. Yet I’m learning more and more to find His faithfulness in the midst of chaos that seems to never slow down.

So what’s next…

I’m currently in India and headed to Nepal for the next month to spend time with Gap P squad! I can’t say it’s the best of timing for my heart, but I know the Lord is always faithful to give me rest, energy and perspective when I’m lacking. We’re going to get some normal life established on the race, get some good time to bond as a leadership team and get some direction from the Lord about what this next year of journeying is really all about. I’m exceptionally thankful for the incredible leaders who are on the field day in and day out with the racers. They bring me life in ways I never imagined. Expect photo updates and stories from the field on Facebook & Instagram.

This season of life is exciting and exhausting all rolled into one, but I wouldn’t trade the stories and lives I get to watch change in front of my eyes. I’m constantly thankful for the friendships and privilege to walk alongside people as they run after the Lord. Sometimes this kind of life feels too much to handle, but I’m learning the art of steadfastness, when my own “idealism” has run dry and the Lord’s perspective starts to be enough.

I’m currently $2500 behind in my monthly goals in financial support, and I need to get in it in 48 HOURS BY SEPTEMBER 30TH. You guys have been an incredible support for me, and I’m so thankful for the way you’ve cheered me on prayerfully and financially this far. If you want to help get me back on track, there’s a link below with information on support.

All this to say, thank you for helping me live a sweet life. It’s the best I could ask for.

Blessings,

LOOKING FOR SUPPORT TEAMMATES!

Working for Adventures in Missions has been an incredible blessing and journey in working towards building the Kingdom of God. Since most of what we do is non-profit missionary work, it takes dedicated supporters to financially commit to walking the journey with us and in support of our organization.

I am looking for a team of prayer & financial supporters who are passionate about the next generation of believers experiencing the Kingdom of God on earth. Would you commit to this journey with me each month?
