Okay so I know you are wondering how any of this could have anything to do with right. As I’ve been praying for Tony and his ministry I’ve also been asking God how he wants my ministry to look. The other night as I was praying it finally came to me. I want to be able to stop the cycle of teenage pregnancy in my area….get boys off the street in church and in college….I want children to know that they are loved even when their biological parents give up on them or abandon them. I want to feed and clothe the poor and widows. I want to show Christ in my life not just by my works and my words but from every fiber…..cell…..vein….muscle…and bone in my body. I want to shine Christ so bright that the demons tremble when I come because they know the Holy Spirit has gone before me and they can’t touch the me or the work that God is leading me to do.
Many people have been asking me what country I feel called to and at first it was really hard to answer the question because I wasn’t sure. I just knew that I always wanted to be found doing the work of the Lord. Last month though a couple of us were talking to our Muslim friend Erfon that’s from the Middle East and we asked him what he thought about Americans and Christians. He really didn’t want to answer because he didn’t want to offend us but I was very persistent about asking over and over until he gave me an answer. So he eventually said that he didn’t like American Christians because we go all over the world trying to fix everyone else’s problems and telling them about Jesus but we don’t try to fix the problems in our own country. I was completely thrown back but he was his right though. The commission does call us to go out to all the nations and preach the Gospel but in Acts 1:8 Jesus told the apostles to be a witness of him in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria and to the end of the earth. I don’t think that I’m reading into this wrong but what Jesus was saying is start at your home front first, in our communities, in our state, in our country, and to all the nations. God calls some to go out into all the nations to server and reach those that have never heard about him but God has done a work in my heart for the children right in my back door. He has called me to love on the United States like no one has ever done before. I’ve come to realize that I wasn’t placed on this earth to save the world Jesus has already done that, but yet to turn one person at a time towards him. And have to do that by starting with myself…..my family….my children that I will have one day….my community….and every person I come into contact with.
One person at a time….equates to one generation at a time…..which in time changes a whole nation…..and again in time changes the world. But I can’t do it by myself I have to have God leading my and directing my footsteps. I can’t shy away from things or people because it looks hard but yet I have to take things head on in order to make a difference. I just ask that you all keep praying for me and with me that God will continue to revile to me one step at a time what he has planned for me.
