I’ve been waiting to update you all on camp until I had processed everything.
- To make sure you didn’t get an emotional trench coat opened up on you.
- And I thought I could just give you all the updates at once. But now looks like that would be an overload of everything.
I have found the fact that I spent the first few days being home catching up with everyone here. I didn’t take time to process anything yet. So I started Monday… And thought Hey all be done and have a blog to post tonight. False.
There is so much God is teaching me about Him, and about myself as I start unpacking and going through everything. So it could be awhile. But with that being said I don’t want to keep you all waiting to hear a few things and I can’t wait to share a few things any longer.
1.) So my route has changed!! Just had a few of our countries changed. So for those of you who were worried about the ones in Africa you will like this.
It is now
Zambia,
Malawi,
Estonia,
Latvia,
Lithuania,
China,
Mongolia,
Thailand,
Cambodia,
Vietnam,
and Nepal
As I’ve done a little research on these countries I’m just as excited to go to them as the others. A little sad to only get 2 months in Africa, but I know God has a plan for us. So excited about Mongolia!! We will be the first squad to go there.
2. I now know who my small team will be. I can’t wait to get to know them all so much more. Learn how they think, learn how to encourage them. Oh and the fun I believe we will have together!!
We picked the name “The Unexpected”
Because we never would have expected to be on a team together.
All we want the expectations to be for these 11 months is just for God to show up.
Oh how we are all so different. I can’t wait to see how God grows us so much closer to each other and Him.
I will say that a little bit of the crazy side of me wishes that all of Zsquad could spend the next 11 months together… but I know that’s not what we need. I take joy out of knowing we will all get to come back together and share with each other what God had been doing in our lives. oh all the different stories of God working!
As I end this post.. there is so much more I still have to share. I can’t wait to be able share it with you. But until then if there is anything you’d like to know feel free to ask.
