No really, I’m coming home. I leave at midnight to go to the airport to start my journey home!! (That’s in 4 hours!)

(My dad has been counting down the days – this was his response today)

So… what’s next after the Race? That is the big question now right?

Well, immediately following the Race, I have pretty busy but very fun schedule.

1. DVT

Since my dad was unable to go on PVT (Parent Vision Trip) back in May with my mom, my dad decided to plan a DVT (Dad Vision Trip). He surprised me a few months ago with the offer to take me to NYC to go see Roger Federer play at the US open. (Federer has been my favorite athlete since HS and my dad and I have a special bond over our love for him and watching tennis!). So let’s just say this is a dream come true, and I’m looking forward to a special father-daughter weekend!

2. MVT/IVT

About a month ago, my oldest sister asked if I would help her out with a trade show in Indiana. It didn’t take much convincing on her end for me to say yes to hanging out with her and my new niece, Camila, who I’m dying to meet! So after a week of rest from NYC, I’ll be heading to Indiana with my sister for a couple days. On the way back, I’ll hopefully be able to spend a day or two with my nephews in Michigan!

3. GVT

A few days after that, I will be flying to Florida with my grandma for GVT. (Grandma Vision Trip) I cannot wait to spend the week with her relaxing in my most favorite place.

4. CVT

From Florida, I’ll then be making my last vision trip to Colorado (CVT). It’s been over a year since I’ve seen my sister and her family so I am very excited to visit them as well as my friends and church.

Now onto the more serious side of what’s ahead.

During month 7 & 8 of the Race, God revealed to me that the passion I have had for health and fitness the last few years can be used for missions.

If you had the chance to read my last blog, The BIGGEST Thing I Learned On the Race, I touched on how before the Race, I had the notion that God’s will would be contrary to what I really what to do. I wrongfully presumed that if I was obedient to wherever the Lord wanted me to go (something I must and want to do), then that meant he would call me overseas probably to some remote place to be a missionary.

So the revelation that God’s calling is something deep in our hearts was very exciting for me!

While I have a dream and plan of what health and fitness as missions looks like for me, I’m still waiting for God to reveal some of my next steps.

I know that this October, I will be signing up for a 6 week online plant-based nutrition course, which I’m looking forward to! I will also most likely pursue some sort of personal training certification.

What I don’t know yet is what exactly I’ll be doing and where I’m going after the holidays. I have some different ideas swirling around in my head that I’ve been praying about, but I’m not able or ready to make any decisions until I get home.

As excited as I was about going on the World Race, I’ve come to realize that this is just the beginning of an amazing adventure. The World Race as great as it is, is only launching pad to greater things ahead. I’m ready to come home and I’m ready for what’s next after the Race!
