Reasons to do the World Race:

  1. Spread the Love of Jesus
  2. To meet all the cats around the World like these kittens in Manipur, India
  3. Or this sleeping beauty from Phnom Penh, Cambodia
  4. And her neighbor
  5. Cats from Siem Reap, Cambodia
  6. To do Cat Ministry in Battambang, Cambodia: a type of outreach that starts with a prayer walk looking for cats. You find cat, play with cat, find cat’s owner and then proceed to tell them about Jesus. It’s my favorite type of ministry. Unfortunately, GOT the cat got run over by a car the day before we left. RIP GOT.
  7. Go to Shoestrings hostel in Zimbabwe to meet this cutie
  8. You’ll also want to meet Toothless outside of Victoria Falls
  9. If your team is lucky enough, you’ll get placed with UCSA in Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa and have a whole bunch of snuggle parties
  10. If your debrief is in South Africa, you might be at Old Vic’s Travellers Inn
  11. And then…. you’ll be surrounded in cat heaven
  12. but really though… they have 5 resident cats
  13. Warning: they don’t like to be picked up….
  14. Same for the cats in Ecuador as well….
  15. Because even the cats at the famous Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires, Argentina need love as well!
  16. and so do Chilean cats in the city….
  17. And in the Argentine desert.
  18. This is Amber from YWAM Mendoza. She will come eat breakfast with you every morning! Beware if you have allergies. She WILL make them flare up…
  19. She also have 5 cute kittens you can play with
  20. There are cats EVERYWHERE around the world, you just have to look up high
  21. and look down low
  22. They might hide under tables so you might need to lure them with food…
  23. If you’re an English teacher in Bolivia, trade private English lessons for cat visitation rights
  24. You’re already getting dirty at a neighborhood trash pick up so might as well pick up the cats too!
  25. Cats in El Campo, Argentina
  26. Who wouldn’t want a kitty on your lap during Quiet Times?!
  27. Again, they might not want to be picked up… but they’re just being shy…
  28. BECAUSE OF COURSE CATS WANT YOUR ATTENTION
  29. Cats don’t discriminate. They’ll hate you no matter what your race, gender or socioeconomic status you have
  30. You’ll be offered to bring a kitten home MANY times on the race….
  31. Especially with the cats in the bus station in Ecuador
  32. If you’re church planting in Ecuador… the man who lives at the church has 6 cats for you to play with… #CrazyCat…Man?
  33. This cat had a huge personality so she makes up two reasons why you should do the World Race
  34. And last but not least… so you can have a nice friendly reminder from your Vietnamese government: “Friend, not Food”

Not a cat lover? Don’t worry. I’ll pray that God continues softening your very hardened heart but until then… there’s plenty of dogs to go around.
