Below is my current support letter, I have already sent out a round of letters and will be sending more throughout the month. Feel free to contact me with any comments or questions!!!
Dear Friends and Family,
As most of you know by now I have decided to take a year off from college to go and do mission/humanitarian work for 9 months with a group called the World Race through the organization of Adventure in Missions. To do this though i need help, I need to build a team of support. This is something I am not use to asking for, but God has set this on my heart. Therefore I decided to leave the comfort and convenience of my college life to go travel and serve the best I can through God with a community at my side.
What is the World Race Gap Year?
The World Race Gap Year is a 9 month Christian missions trip to 5 countries located on 3 continents through an organization called Adventures In Missions. One of the unique things about the World Race Gap Year is that it’s not only a mission trip but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. Through the World Race Gap Year, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, build homes, and help families who struggle daily.
How can you help?
There are multiple ways to show support, the biggest of these are support through prayer, encouragement, and financial. The first of these are prayer, prayer is a huge tool leading up and throughout the race. I could use prayer in understanding God’s will, patients through the tough times, and fundraising goals. Second is encouragement, when things get tough verbal or written encouragement would be very helpful. Words of affirmations is my love language therefore this will help me stay positive combined with prayer. Lastly I need help financially. In some ways this is the biggest need. As the racer I need to raise $14,591 to be fully funded, this would cover all expenses throughout the journey. I Ask that you prayerfully consider supporting me in these ways.

Yours In Christ,
Alexander Hogue
