I figured I’d go ahead and try something new with this blog. Instead of explaining stories from this past month in written form, I thought I’d try showing you all my month through my own eyes in picture form.

Whether it was my team & I in ministry, traveling around or just a random moment in time, you will see a mix of things we experienced this past month.

Sometimes pictures can be more powerful than words and that picture could be worth a thousand words in itself. I’ll do a little bit of explaining of basic things such as where my team & I were in Israel, but for the most part I’ll leave the picture to do the explaining for me.

I hope y’all enjoy!

Ministry

(Ministry the first week in Jerusalem can be shown in the pictures above. Throughout the week we were doing construction work in a back lot to clean it up for future projects for our hosts. Cleaning a back lot required clearing out debris full of rocks, broken concrete, and long grass. Other tasks included gardening, weeding and gathering almonds from the trees on property. In addition, we also recreated one of the main offices at the facility)

(Ministry in the two pictures shown above during our second week in Jerusalem started us off by doing more construction work at a church. It was here where we cleared out more debris and cleaned up the facility’s grounds)

Ha, in the pictures you see above, I could put a million different captions with. The most simple way of putting it though is we partnered with a facility that replicated what life would’ve looked like in Jesus’ life during the 1st century. We completed a multitude of projects from chopping bark off logs used as support beams in a 1st century home, destroying the roof and rebuilding it up again, and assisting with kitchen duty for the week in Nazareth. It was lots of hard work that we all are still feeling in our bodies today from the heavy lifting, concrete mixing, and rebuilding process.
