Throughout this 9 month journey, I have seen some of the most incredible views. From busy cities to vast lakes and erupting volcanos, each country has been breathtaking in its very own way. This blog will share with you some of my favorite views from Southeast Asia, Central America, and Africa. It was honestly so hard to limit it to just a few pictures per country, but I’ll be home soon enough to share with you all endless pictures and stories.

Battambang, Cambodia (Month 1).

The first adventure day- I was able to explore my new hometown. It was full of culture shock and architecture like nothing I’d seen before.

Cambodia-Thai border (Month 2).

Prior to this day I could have sworn that we were never going to leave Cambodia- the first 2 months of the race seem never ending. But this day made up for the heat! Some of my favorite views include big lakes and mountains, so taking out one of those boats to swim was a blessing.

Bangkok, Thailand (month 3).

One last stop before leaving Asia! We stayed in Thailand for a few short days. During that time, the city of Bangkok treated me well. I had some authentic pad Thai and a tasty pineapple- strawberry smoothie.

Tegucigalpa, Honduras (month 4).

This view never got old. On this particular day the sun was hitting my hilly home perfectly. I constantly was in a state of awe in this country.

Tegucigalpa, Honduras (month 5).

WOW. Right as we were heading out for Guatemala, God gave us this incredible sunset. One last hand painted sky to blow us all away. I could not help but feel beyond blessed.

Volcano Pacaya, Guatemala (month 5).

This was the day I hiked up my first volcano. I was a little winded, but boy were the views worth it. Watching the sun set on top of a volcano is one of my new favorite pass times. I was able to roast marshmallows and watch God end the night with a beautiful color scheme.

Lake Atitlan, Guatemala (month 6).

Honestly, Guatemala was one of my favorite countries. There was always something to do and the views never stopped. Hands down one of the most breathtaking countries I’ve been to. Also, like I said, I love lakes and mountain views.

Crater Lake, Ethiopia (month 8).

This place was a wonderland. The whole time I was hiking through this lake I felt like I was in a Dr. Suess book. If in the near future you cannot find me, then I am probably here.

Wenchi Crater, Ethiopia (month 8).

After we hiked around the lake we hopped on some horses to catch some more views. It was green everywhere and I absolutely loved it. I cannot say I am too fond of horses though. By the end of this adventure, I fell off the horse and scrapped my knee. Yay.

I hope you all enjoyed my favorite views from around the world. See you soon!
