Hi Everyone!
It has been almost a month since I left West Chester and started the World Race in Gainesville, Georgia and I am here to give you an update of all that has happened so far!
Here in Georgia, I am currently living with my squad of 33 other racers, and 8 leaders that have all participated in the World Race program before. Because of Covid, we are training in Leadership Development and Spiritual Growth before we launch abroad. It was been challenging in so many different ways than back at home. Community living, sleeping in tents, and constantly training are very different lessons I am learning that I wouldn’t be taught many other places. I see these challenges as opportunities to expand my pallet of strengths and skills for when I return from the race in the summer fo 2021. Some other exciting news is that in October, my squad if headed to Lake Charles, Louisiana to assist in Disaster Relief from Hurricane Laura. We will be rebuilding and restoring the damaged homes and buildings that were destroyed from the weather and do our best to bring hope into the brokenness. Pray for our squad as we continue to grow in relationship with the Lord and each other and be a beacon of hope to the destruction in Louisiana.
