Have you ever been so sure of something, you can’t help but press in? That feeling you get deep in your heart and soul that you can’t ignore. Whether it’s your mind convincing you that you NEED fast food for the third time this week or you feel a heart tug when you see someone at the grocery store and it means something deeper than you can explain? Well that’s the World Race for me friends.
God planted the seed for missions and gave me a passion for loving people a long time ago. And He has spent years and years trying to get my attention and show me my calling and purpose. And for all those years, I would feel that steadfast certain tug, I would recognize it, sit with it for a few days and then move on with no action toward it. God has spent this past year refining and pruning me in so many ways. That has been a difficult process because He had to rebuild the foundation with me. It has been a stripping process of the things I knew and the ideas I’ve based my life upon and let me tell you friends, its been HARD. And that is a part from all the craziness of our world right now. This has been a difficult season and a lot of days I wake up thinking this trip is impossible and I’ll never raise enough money to go. But then I remember the sureness of my soul that God called me here and He is going to make a way if it is His will for me to be on this trip. That is the small bit of peace and hope I carry with me each day as He breaks me and rebuilds my foundation.
I know in the depths of my soul that the Lord gave me the gift of loving people well and I have decided that is the only thing I care about for the remainder of my days on this Earth. To love intentionally and to love unconditionally. Because that is how Jesus loves us.
I am still a long way away from my fundraising goal and sometimes it makes me anxious. But I know the author of my life will make a way and He has plans for me, and for all of you. Praise that we don’t have to have it all figured out ourselves because that is messy and scary! Thank you so much for all my friends and family who have supported me financially and prayerfully so far in my journey. Your support means everything and I pray that the Lord blesses you abundantly in return. Love always. Until next time.
