Did you think my blog post title was a little over exaggerated? Well I assure you, it’s not. My heart has been captured by the people of this world who crave love and, even if they don’t know it, the love of our sweet father. So I am 3 months in The World Race and I am about a week away from entering month 4 in Honduras. A few things that I’ve been up to (because I know you’re wondering) is prayer walks, painting murals, hearing the most heartbreaking stories and much more. I have had so much fun but I’ve also she’d so many tears. I have cried for the woman who was extremely mistreated as a child, I cried for the woman who has been hemorrhaging for a while without knowledge as to why, I have cried for the children in the street who look to be 10 years old finding comfort in a cigarette. Even with all the tears I’ve shed these last 3 months I have also laughed and danced HARD! I have laughed with the little children from the orphanage and with their 15 or 16 year old mothers. I have danced with the children who are wearing half broken shoes. I have sang to the little sleepy baby who needs to sleep but refuses to. I have laughed with the 60 children who get fed weekly at the community center and much much more. These people have captured my heart and I have been blessed to get to hear their stories and share emotions with them.
My call to help is this…
To be able to share these moments with children, women and men who need it, showing them the love of Christ and letting them know that they are seen, I need funds. I am a little over $7,000 short to finishing out this trip. I need $2,000 for sure by the end of next month.
