I have been in a standstill for some time now. Where I didn’t feel like I was progressing in any way in life. I also wanted to do something that made sense to me and also to live MY life. I felt like I was living someone else’s. I was stuck in a never-ending loop. I finally decided to do something outside of my normal. I began searching for some kind of retreat or something that I can go to just to be alone with God for a few days, something away from everything. I couldn’t find anything so I began looking for missionary opportunities and came up short. I was kind of frustrated that I couldn’t find anything that worked for me. So one day I was on facebook and I saw an ad for an almost year long mission trip called The World Race. I clicked on the link and found that to apply at that time, it was free. So I threw caution into the wind and applied. After my phone interview I received another phone call telling me that I was accepted. I was bouncing and jumping while trying to sound calm on the phone. What an amazing opportunity! Going to do God’s work by getting out of my comfort zone and traveling the world just to reach people, show them God’s love and doing exactly what God does with us, meeting us where we are. Now I can’t wait to be transformed from the inside out on this wonderful journey.
