150 USD= around 8,700 Pesos- and this is a significant amount.

A lot of this money was given to the church that we are living in, Iglesia Betel, in tithing. This money will be used in reaching the needs of the church.  In living here, I am confident in the Pastor’s ability to steward money well, and I am so excited that he gets to steward some of the money that I was given.

With the other portion of the money – this is the fun part—we were able to buy and prepare food for ~28 people.  These are families who are special to our team and who we have gotten to spend a significant amount of time with. They have blessed us ABUNDANTLY with meals in their homes, many conversations that have had language barriers and require patience, bowling, a trip to Chiu Chiu, trips to lagoons, San Pedro, Chuquicamata, and friendship.  They are our sweet friends- and tonight we got to make them pancakes, banana bread, cookies, pb&js  and French toast (all the American classics/carbs am I right?)

It was such a sweet celebration in our final week in Calama. We got to laugh, play, and share community around the table- most importantly, we got to feast with our brothers and sisters!

In our last week here, we are soaking up as much as we can.  It is so bittersweet knowing that we are moving into what has been prepared before us in Peru, but we will miss this place and the people here tremendously.

I am so thankful that I get to share funds to bring Kingdom & I am excited to see what the next $150 will do in Peru!

Xoxo
