So I am a team leader now.
(Haha, we fooled em guys!)
Right. Like that’s a great idea. Anyway, y’all need to pray for these goons because they have no idea…ain’t even got a clue.
My new team is Team Chasing the Deep (#ChasingTheDeep), and our heart is to chase after the deep things of the father. We desire to sink deeper and deeper into the abyss of His enormity. As the pressure of the ocean presses us on all side, we press deeper, uncrushed. When the light seems a million miles away, we chase his Spirit further into the depths. When the water seems so cold we just want to turn tail and sit on the beach, where things are warm and comfortable, we desire to press ever onward toward the most beautiful treasures of the Father, kept buried deep within his heart.
Chasing the Deep has gathered for a few family meetings already and here are some words we spoke over our team, but we also want your support in: Grace, Humility, Authenticity, Boldness, Vulnerability, Truth, fighting for one another, and successfully failing.
Team members include: (Momma) Amy Deming, Carrie “Carriet” Owen, (Captain) Chris Qualls, Civanna “Ci-Star” Hoffman, Heather “The Ancient One” Roush, (Papa) Jeff Strohschein, and Taylor “Melch” Melchert… We all enjoy pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and long walks on the beach (or something).
And our first month together will be in Estonia at a Christ-centered Rehab facility for recently released convicts. This place is called Village of Hope, and is an absolutely, mind blowingly incredible ministry that you guys at home can pray all sorts of blessings over. We will be building relationships with these redeemed felons while doing some manual labor of some sort that I’ll probably jut let the girls do anyway because I’m a bum. Right?
Anyway…
As I walk into this new season of my journey, please please please, by all means, be praying for me and my team. Coat us in your prayers and declarations! Help us cultivate a kingdom culture on our team and in our first month. With your prayers, we know we can most effectively be Chasing The Deep.
