Hola!!!!

Have you ever been involved with something that took every ounce of energy and yet you never want to stop? That is definitely how life around here works.

This morning started with a great time of prayer. We were all going in a little different direction, so we sat together this morning and prayed for the day.

First, we prayed for Friske. Today she stayed in the coffee shop and worked on administrative details for us. She takes care of our finances… which is a huge job. Praise God for such a wonderful girl who takes care of all the little details for us. Please pray that things continue to run smoothly and easily for her! She is also learning to make all the different kinds of coffees so that a future coffee shop might run wonderfully!

Then we prayed for Paul, Kim, Elliott, and Jessica. Today they went and picked up Nidia from Hermano Pedro and took her to lunch at McDonald´s. Sometimes it´s hard for Nidia to hang out with us, because her Catholicism has been deeply grounded in. The nurses sometimes see us “evangelicals” as a threat and Nidia gets lost in the mix. So days like today when we can just be her friend, no agenda, nothing threatening, these days truly make a difference for her. She can see that we are here to love on her and just be her friend. Pray that God will continue to open her eyes and draw near to her heart!

Then we prayed for myself. I went back to my kiddos to play some more today. First things first… Luis soaked me again. Again, I didn´t mind, but just took him in to be changed and continued to play with him. Then I went with Mr. Dick Rutgers (he builds all the wheelchairs for the kids with Hope Haven) and we took Sam and Ervin out to lunch. They are a handful!!! Sam and Ervin can both walk (Ervin with a walker), so we decided to just let them walk. Whoa!!!! After 2 hours of running around the park and around Campero’s restaurant, we decided to call it day. The kids were pretty tired too! For the rest of the afternoon I helped out building a wheelchair for Luis and helping to feed the kids. Pray that the Lord will continue to pour out His spirit on these kids!

Well… it’s time for our weekly group Bible Study, so I guess I should end this now. Thank you for your prayers and your encouragement. We love you all!
