Good Day All
So last night was probably one of the weirdest night in recent history for me…let me explain. I am in Jackson, TN, and yesterday the county I am in was put on Tornado Alert… whatever that means. So my friends and I went about our business touring aruond the fascinating city, actually that only took about half an hour, then we went to target. My friends had to work in the evening until 8:30pm so they gave me the car so I could get around better. I naturally went to the grocery store and bought ingredients to make White chocolate macadamia cookies and as I was driving the radio cut out and a robot told me that there was a Tornado Alert for my area! I thought that maybe this was common so I thought nothing of it. Then it started raining and there was lightning all over the place… I got the groceries and went home. WHile I was baking some sirens went off and I thought that maybe there was an ambulance coming, well, it sounded like it was just sitting near my house nad the siren itself sounded awfully eerie, so theyn I put 2 and 2 together and relaized it was probably a tornado siren. So I went outside and noticed it was boiling hot, like 85 degrees at 8pm and thunder had just rumbled right over the house I was in. I knew the neighbours so I went and knocked on their door to ask what was going on, no one answered after persistant knocing and I had just seen them go into their house. Another neighbour saw me and yelled and asked what the **** I was doing. I naturally told him I was Canadian and I didn’t know what was going on. He said “Open your windows cause your house will explode if you don’t” I laughed and he said he wasn’t joking. So their I lay in the centre hallway of the house with a blanket over me and praying that I wouldn’t hear the “Sound of a train” that was a tornado… Later that night we heard the a couple had touched down just N of where I was and even closer to where my friend was working!!! Things are looking a little better today and the Tornado Alert is off I think for us. Also we haven’t heard of any bad things happening elsewhere from this Crazy weather so Praise God!!!
