There is a saying that I have heard repeated countless times as I grew up. Any time someone would ask my mom Patti how she was doing her response was "I am blessed and highly favored." No matter the circumstance or whatever struggle she was facing that was always her response. I never quite understood this and it seemed as a mantra that was just an automatic response.
Now as I am preparing for the World Race this statement has come alive to me. As I am running around preparing last minute details, Working long hours to save as much as I can all while trying to spend as much time with the people I love, I have felt the favor of the Lord more than ever before. My days are not perfect, I have had struggles with the idea of leaving and even had a breakdown when I was going to get my vaccinations (shots scare me very much) but in spite of all of this God is blessing me and His favor is weighing heavy on my life.
Through unexpected support that I have received financially and the encouraging words of those around me I am blown away by how good God truly is. So here I sit 3 Months 18 days away from July and I know that God has prepared my way.
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 (ESV)
