Pastor Michael & Kathy Hindes
Pastor Michael Hindes is the Senior Pastor and oversees the staff and operations at Cross Current Church. He has been used by God to establish many new ventures, including a school of ministry, several non-profit organizations, and Landmark Academy Charter School. His leadership abilities have helped to strengthen businesses, non-profit organizations, and churches by helping them cast vision, set goals, build strong teams, and articulate strategies that are in harmony with their mission and vision. He holds a degree in nursing with continued studies in business management and leadership. He worked for 17 years in the medical profession, including clinical nursing, health care marketing, and administration.
Pastor Michael was given the position of Senior Pastor in January, 2003 after being involved at the church for ten years in both 
volunteer and staff leadership positions. He has a desire to see the Kingdom of God advanced in the Greater Blue Water Area. He is committed to build a team at Cross Current that will fulfill the vision imparted to this body. That vision is to reach people who are unchurched, tired of church, or feel forgotten by the church. Pastor Michael’s heart is to see God’s people discipled and trained to grow in their ministry gifts.
Pastor Michael and his wife, Kathy, live in Port Huron, Michigan. They have three sons: Nicholas, Jason, and Wade. Kathy oversees the Hospitality Center and has a part in the Leadership Team of the Women’s Ministry. As a family, they are working side by side with the other committed families of Cross Current to fulfill the “Great Commission”.
