Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.  Rom. 12:1

Worship is a sacrifice. There are different ways to sacrifice, one of them is praise.

Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.  Heb. 13:17

Have you ever just not wanted to sing? Sometimes you want to sing a song of joy. Sometimes you’re in such a bad mood, the song in your heart is the rainy day blues.

Sooooo . . . mull it over, make some conections. Sacrifice, praise, worship.

This is alot of stuff, and I’m just gonna be glancing over some of it. I’d love any discussion or input.

I’m gonna leave you with one more verse that will tie this thought and the next together.

Samuel said, ” Has the LORD as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. 1st Samuel 15:22

The key part here being to obey is better than to sacrifice. So if singing praise is a sacrifice that is acceptable to God, when is it better to obey than to sacrifice (hint hint, stewardship)? Later. peace.
