As month 11 quickly approaches, I am begin to feel every type of emotion.
Happy because I will be home soon, seeing though I miss dearly.
Sad because I love this life and the people God has put around me.
Tired because I have been going and going for so long.
Energized because the people I will meet.
Hopeful because of the unknown future.
One thing is for sure though.
CGA.
Center for Global Action!
One month after I arrive home, I will be leaving again. I will leave to once again, learn and grow.
What is CGA?
The CGA Is a launching pad dedicated to holistic development through community, discipleship, and apprenticeship. We Exist to activate a generation to their kingdom role.
This means that my time at CGA will be spent on fostering my dependence and intimacy with the Lord. Understanding my identity based on Gods Word, and empowering myself to discover and start to pursue what dreams or call God has placed on my life. All this will be done through the apprenticeship, courses, and community life.
The First term looks like this:
9am 12:30pm Mon-Fri I will work in Adventures in Missions offices with my assigned apprenticeship.
2pm 5pm Mon-Fri I will attend courses.
The Apprenticeship:
I will be doing the Storytelling Track so my apprenticeship will be focused on my development and experience in this specific area. I will be working with like-minded, passionate people to work in a real storytelling setting for Adventures newest website. I will grow, develop, and gain experience in writing, video, photography, social media and running a major online publication. At the end of the year I will have real world experience in my chosen field. I will be challenged, will hopefully mature professionally, and grow in experience. All this will make me ready for my next step whether it is back to the field, launching my own dream, or helping someone else launch theirs.
The Course:
They are instrumental in my spiritual and personal growth. I will focus on topics such as Discovering my Calling, Spiritual Formation, Community, Biblical Foundations, Professional Development, Sustainable Living, Dependence, and Empowerment.
The Housing:
I will be provided housing during my time at CGA. I will still be living in community, which means no personal space still.
Where you come in:
Surprise! I need to raise money again YAY! Lol. I am going to CGA for 12 months; 1 year. Like everything else in this world I need to pay for CGA. I will be leaving shortly after the race which means I wont have time to get a job and pay for CGA myself. It cost $300/month. Part of the money goes to the courses and part of it to the housing. I will get a small cut for food and gas but I will also be over raising for extra needs.
Extra Money Support:
Food, Laptop, Gas, Holiday Travel
$250/month
