Well
folks, we made it safely to Thailand
Thursday morning and were greeted by the YWAM staff, 87 degrees, and 85%
humidity! Ugh! Quite a contrast from the winter cold of Africa!
But everything has been great here so far. The staff of YWAM have been working
with Joy and Jimmy all last month to set up our ministries in Thailand, and from what I can tell,
it’s going to be a GREAT MONTH! We arrived Thursday at noon after about 22 hrs
of traveling. Praise the Lord we had no issues with passports, luggage,
connecting flights, or customs! We’ve had one day of orientation/information
about Thailand
culture and history, and today we spent roughly 7 hours touring the city
visiting 4 different Buddhist temples. We leave tomorrow for our ministry
location. Team YETI will be spending 3 weeks in the city of Buriram working with an American missionary
who runs an orphanage. There are many other ministry opportunities other than
just the orphanage. Please continue to pray for our teams as many of them will
be working directly with the prostitutes in Bangkok, and other aspects of the sex trade
industry which is so prevalent here.
