You know the time of year well…it’s October and you
can’t decide if it’s too cold to go out with just a sweatshirt, or if it’s time
to break out the winter coat. You step outside and the crisp cold air fills
your lungs and invigorates your senses. The trees are changing colors, and you
just can’t help but smile at the beauty of it. You look forward to cuddling up
with your favorite hot drink and a good book .Fall is my absolute favorite
season, and since I’m now in the Southern Hemisphere, I get to experience it
all over again while you all are coming into spring! I can’t even explain how
happy that makes me!

We are now in Cusco, Peru, and we’ll be spending
the next 5 days debriefing our last month of ministry and processing through
everything before we move on to Africa. The cool air, beautiful scenery, and
time off have completely refreshed my spirit and renewed my energy. The
mountains are breathtaking, and I can’t help but be slightly jealous that this
is where Team B has been living for the past 5 weeks. The colder weather has
been a great change from the intense heat of

Lima, and I’m thoroughly enjoying wearing a
hat, gloves, and my hoodie sweatshirt!

Although details are still a little fuzzy for next
month, here’s what I know for sure. We are leaving
Peru
April 25, and we’ll be flying to

Buenos
Aires,
Argentina.
We’ll have 5 days in

Argentina
that will be our Ministry Practicum. We are completely on our own to find
housing, food, and ministry for those 5 days. We leave
Argentina May 1 and head to

South Africa.
Lucky for us, there aren’t any direct flights from S. America to Africa, so
we’ll be flying through

London.
We arrive in

London
at 7:30am on May 2, and we have a 12 hr layover. We’re all VERY excited that
we’ll get to spend an entire day seeing the sights of
London
before we fly another 16 hours to

South
Africa. Team B will arrive in

South Africa 2
days later than Team A, and at that point we’ll have our race.
That’s all I know for sure right now. There has been talk of part of our group
going to
Mozambique to do
relief work after the major flooding and hurricane devastation, the rest of the
group will probably be staying in

South Africa through May. I’ll keep
you posted when I know for sure where I’ll be.

Much Love!
