We’re all aware of the tragedy that took place in Haiti this past week.  So much damage and so much to pray for! Orphanages that were knocked down, churches destroyed, people killed, children lost, homes destroyed, illness everywhere, lack of water, and yesterday I heard of a prison that was destroyed and all the prisoners escaped!  Adventures in Missions, the organization I am partnering with, is actively involved in the relief efforts. AIM has developed a blog dedicated to their relief efforts in Haiti.  Please check it out….http://haiti.adventures.org/.  Here are some ways you can partner, donate, and pray for Haiti.

1.  AIM has missionaries, the Shaul family, who are serving in the Dominican Republic.  They have been crossing the border into Haiti to identify areas of need, as well as bring relief.  You can check out their blog here:  http://theshauls.myadventures.org/?tuid=1288195  You can also donate directly to their ministry.  100% of the donations are going to the relief work they are doing.  Their goal is to focus on small towns, while many others are focusing on the capital.

2.  AIM is beginning to plan short term mission trips. Please check out www.adventures.org to keep up and sign up for future trips.

3.  World Race Alumni trip:  The alumni of the World Race (the program I’m going with) are planning a short term trip to Haiti in the next few weeks.  Please be praying for them!
