We arrived here 2 ½ weeks ago to begin our debrief and it’s been a time of healing and growing. We’ve been mentored poured into now more than ever. We’ve been knocked from operating as A, B, and C squads to becoming one unit. We’ve had serious times of teaching to fun rides through a safari. (I’ll be posting new pics next week)
And now we are heading our separate ways for the next 5 weeks. For us that means a whole new challenge. We’ve lost Megan 🙁 and have decided to come back together and live this month as a family…Telfer, Youell, Erin, Jenny and me. This is new for the media team, since we have not been together since January, so we will also be rebuilding our family.
Our first stop for ministry is about 15 miles away from our house. We are setting out to find a little girl that we only know a short bit about. Our theme this month is faith. What does it really mean to just throw our hands up in the air and just give God all of the control? From finding the little girl, what we will eat, where we will go next and the other ministries we will be involved in during our stay here, we are relying and praying that God will just direct every move and that we will be obedient to his call.
So, please pray for us. Pray for us to become a family unit, for our journey and safety though out the month and that we will be given new visions of how to tell our story in the best way to all of you back home. Right now, I’m trying to kick some kind of cold bug out of my system, so please also please pray for good health for our team so we aren’t slowed down. Thanks and I’ll post more in a week!!
