JESUS is the REASON for the SEASON!
How many of you have said that or heard that phrase during the month of December? How many of you have forgotten to LIVE FOR HIM during this Christmas season? Count me in, unfortunately.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of this world at this time of year, Jesus can easily be swept under the rug as we spend way too much money on ‘things’, get ready for family gatherings, prepare for the new year, and check off all the other items of our Christmas holiday season ‘to do’ list. Ironic isn’t it, since the holiday we celebrate every 25th of December is solely about HIM. Not us, HIM.
In just a matter of weeks I will be embarking on this beautiful mission adventure that God has led me to… It’s all for Him and for His glory, and yet… I’ve been so busy these last few weeks preparing for the WR in the time that is evaporating all to quickly, having panic attacks about all the ways in which I don’t feel prepared, feeling anxious about all the people/things, and being just plain overwhelmed that I haven’t had time for God, I haven’t made for room in my ‘stable’. That’s screwed up, right?
It’s easy to forget that EVERYTHING in this world is about God, since that’s not what Satan and the world would like us to believe. We are only able to enjoy this thing called life because of our Lord, and it’s through Him, with Him, and for Him that we should live. God’s gift of His one and only son gave us the precious gift of life, not only in this world but for all of eternity.
Walk in God’s presence and receive the best present there will ever be. Salvation. It’s free. Celebrate the gift of life through Jesus, each and every day, not just on the 25th, not just in December.
