It’s official: my team is in South Africa! We made it to Cape Town and are experiencing winter weather in Africa. So strange. So cold.

Swaziland has been the hardest country for me to leave on the Race. I absolutely fell in LOVE with my kiddos at the Zakhele Care Point, and frankly, I am still slightly broken hearted to not be playing with them on the playground right now. While the pictures and videos are hard to watch, I am so thankful to have this account of my time spent with these children.

For Life in a Day: Swaziland, you can expect to see:

·         documentation of our 4+ kombi (bus) rides each day as we made our way to and from the care point.
·         the faces of my sweet babies as they learn about colors and the Lord’s love.
·         one big pot of nutrient-rich rice that provides over 100 meals a day.
·         my kids lining up to play hand games and receive hugs.
·         Reagan, eating avocado (our choice snack every day).
·         food crew at the grocery store with our 3 loaded shopping carts.
·         our tiny kitchen as people unload groceries, cook dinner, and label food. This was a common occurrence that made for lots of fun.
·         community at its finest: a circle of squadmates sharing never-have-I-evers.
