Time to Wander. Process. Live. (Part One)

My last post on here was about the door for our freedom standing open and how we are capable of walking out into our freedom at any time.

During the time of the post I was still in Kansas City, Missouri at the house 'Under the Cross', a home opened up for weary men in search for more proximity with God in a quiet, encouraging atmosphere. The presence of peace and love were evident every second of the day!

Now, after almost four weeks I have been on the move and seen many things along the journey. I wish to catch you up with the story.

After the last post it seems faces came and went of brothers and sisters I met in the blink of an eye. Two sisters on Lamar's squad came to visit for a weekend, then left so sudden I almost missed it. Another two left the next day for Florida and Canada, then almost in an instant Lamar left on a journey with God. All before I left Missouri. It was surreal.

I took MegaBus to Chicago, met a dear friend for the first time in person after meeting so many years ago through another mutual friend about poetry. I spent time with my dear brother, Zebulun Mattos and his family, where he showed me around the city of Milwaukee and we got to encourage one another once more.

I spent time over Easter weekend with the parents of my former youth pastor, D. and they showed me more and more of Wisconsin before taking me to my squadmate, Sarah's house for me to spend the night with her and her family and friend. I again got to pour out what I've learned to a beloved daughter of God.

I made it back to Zeb's for another week where we got to provide for the Chin people from Myanmar (Burma) and I helped Momma Mattos around the house. We also were able to go to dinner with three other squadmates and just love on each other with our company and I went and saw 'The Hunger Games' with those lovely ladies.

Zeb and I headed for Chicago to pick up his brother and drop me off. I waited for a time and Michael Perez from R-Squad picked me up. He drove me around and showed me The Windy City.

Stay tuned for more wanderings…
